Indian Stocks 13-January2016

Nifty50 opened in upward gap at 7,557, moved upward to 7,585; slipped to day's low at 7,426; bounced to day's high at 7,590 and finally closed near to its today's opening level at 7,562 i.e. 0.7% higher. Today Nifty50 had a very volatile session with huge swing. IndiaVix opened in RED, switched into GREEN and finally closed in RED. NSE Advance Decline Ratio (ADR) opened above six and hovered around 0.2 and finally closed at 0.22. ON NSE USD-INR currency January'16 future hovered around 67 INR and closed at 66.97 INR.

Bank Nifty closed 0.87% higher. NiftyAuto Index closed 0.96% higher. NiftyMetal Index closed 0.72% lower. NiftyPharma Index closed 0.2% lower. NiftyIT Index closed 0,46% higher. NiftyFMCG Index closed 0.38% higher. NiftyReality Index closed 1% lower.

Reliance made fresh 52 week high and closed 2.65 % higher. TataSteel closed  0.2 % higher. SunPharma opened closed 1.46 % higher. Dr. Reddy Lab (DRL) made fresh 52 week low and closed 0.76 % lower. Infy closed 2.96% higher. Reacting to its weak Quarterly results, TCS made fresh 52 week low and closed 2 % lower. Oberoi Reality closed 3.74 % lower. SBI made fresh 52 week low and bounced to close 0.9 % higher. SBI and ICICIBANK closed in GREEN after making fresh 52 wekk Low. Other five Banking stocks namely AXIS BANK, PNB, BANKINDIA, CANARABANK and BankBaroda made fresh 52 week Low and closed in RED. TataMotor closed 2.25 % higher. 

On NSE, Turnover in Equity and Derivative segment was higher than previous session. As per EoD provisional statistics, FII/FPIs Sold equity worth 75 crore INR(net), and DIIs Bought equity worth  618 crore INR(net).

At the end of session, India Vix is placed in RED well above 15. NSE ADR is placed around 0.22. Both these together indicates neutral view. However, today's volatility indicates Nifty50 is likely to make downside journey in coming sessions.
