Nifty50 opened in downward gape, pulled back and hovered around 7650. In afternoon session, Nifty50 fell back to 7600 and made V shape recovery. After making intra-day high at 7663, Nifty50 closed at 7650. India VIX traded in GREEN. NSE ADR closed above one. NSE USD-INR Dec future closed 0.3% higher.
NiftyMetal Index closed 2.3% higher. BankNIfty opened in downward gape but finally closed flat. NiftyAUTO Index closed 0.25% higher. NiftyPharma Index closed 0.92% higher. NiftyIT Index closed o,5% higher. NiftyFMCG closed 0.4% higher. NiftyReality Index closed 0.2% lower.
M&M closed 2.5% higher. Maruti closed 2.45% higher. Apollo Tyre closed 2.47% higher. Bosch closed 0.4% lower. SBI closed 0.75% lower. Axis Bank made fresh 52 week low and closed 2.13% lower. ICICI Bank and Canara Bank also made fresh 52 week low. KotakBank closed 1.47% higher. Infy closed 1.4% higher. TCS closed 0.46% lower. JSW Steel closed 5.8% higher. Jindal Steel closed 4.5% higher. Hindalco closed 3.6% higher. Orissa Mines and NMDC made fresh 52 week low. Cadila Healthcare closed 2.5% higher. Auro Pharma closed 1,7% higher. SunPharma closed 1.4% higher. Glenmark closed 1.4% lower.
Volume in NSE Equity and Derivative segment was flat. As per end of day statistics, FIIs sold equity worth 155 crore INR(net). DIIs bought equity worth Rs 380 crore INR(net).
At the end of session, India Vix is placed in GREEN and NSE ADR is placed at more tahn one.. Together both these indicates neutral view with slightly negative bias for following session. On back of higher MoM CPI inflation data for November, Nifty50 may open in downward gape and likely to consolidation around 7580 level, unless some political news flow from Delhi change the view.
